We are not even half way through winter and this is about the time people start getting cabin fever and counting down the days until spring arrives. Despite the cold weather, there are still some great fun outdoor events happening around the state, and Biddeford is no exception!
February 3rd through the 5th, was Biddeford's 4th annual Winterfest. It kicked off on Friday evening with an ice-carving show beginning at 5:30 in City Square next to City Hall which was followed by Laser Light Show! City Hall also hosted an art exhibition and reception featuring local artists’ take on the "Winter Wonderland" theme.
City Theater presented Piano Men: The Music of Elton and Billy. It was a tribute to the amazing songs of Billy Joel and Elton John. This concert combined a four piece pop group featuring Joe Boucher on piano and vocals playing with a full symphony orchestra.
Saturday, the sledding hill returned to City Square, thanks to volunteer efforts from New Life Church. For the first time dog sled rides complemented the sledding, snow shoe golf, food vendors and events at McArthur Library.
