Get Ready For Maine's Largest Christmas Parade

Oh what fun!!  It is that time of year again. The Holidays are upon us.

The Annual Christmas Parade (the largest in the state) is such an exciting event in Norway and South Paris. Always held on the Saturday immediately after Thanksgiving, this year’s parade will be on November 26th.  The theme this year is “The Sounds of Christmas”, so you can just imagine how wonderful and fun this parade will be.

Maine Christmas ParadeYou won’t want to miss this spectacular event!  I love this!  Thousands of spectators line the sidewalks and everyone is happy and in good moods. Children will be gleaming! They have so much fun. It is the event that is looked forward to by so many, year after year.

The floats are amazing as businesses and homeowners work hard at creating festive works of art.  With so many participants, you will see firetrucks, the school bands, Boy and Girl Scout troops, area vendors floats, candy canes, Christmas trees, and all of the things that make this time of year magical, including fire trucks, candy and even the Shriners Mini Trucks join in!  fun costumes, wonderful Christmas music, candy, and of course, Mr. and Mrs. Clause!  They bring up the rear of the parade and the children get to visit Santa and Mrs. Clause, immediately after the parade ends.

The parade starts at the Advertiser Democrat in Norway at 11:00 am and continues along main street all the way to Market Square in South Paris.  A great way to kick off this wonderful time of year.

See you there!!
