It’s fall in Falmouth and not only does that mean a beautiful change to the scenery, but football is in full swing at Falmouth High School.
Falmouth and the Falmouth School District are known first and foremost for the excellent education provided to our children. Our academic campus houses the elementary, middle, and high schools. Although one of the main draws to Falmouth is the schooling, the Falmouth School District is proud to have worked hard, over the past ten years, building a powerhouse football team whose accomplishments on the field match the academic accomplishments off the field.
Through hard work and dedication Falmouth High School football came one game short of heading to the Championship in 2014, lost in the Championship game in 2015, and have gotten off to another strong 3-1 start this year. All eyes are on a State Championship for this year.
Pull up to Falmouth’s state of the art athletic fields and you’ll find the parking lot full. The stands are packed with students and parents. The playground, right next to the turf football field is full of younger kids playing basketball and running around. The lights are on over the turf and the smell of grilled burger and dogs hits you as soon as you step out of your car. For new and existing families in Falmouth, these Friday night games are a wonderful place to meet new friends, chat it up with old friends, and create a sense of community.
So, if you’re considering a move to Falmouth and will be spending a weekend in the area, make sure you head over to a football game on a Friday night. Come experience for yourself the Friday Night Lights of Falmouth!
