On the last Sunday of November, the Town of Gray kicked off the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree lighting. The evening began with the Gray-New Gloucester High School Chorus singing carols around the tree. Following the singing Santa Claus arrived on a fire truck to light the tree!
The Kennebunkport Christmas Prelude festival has been rated the second-best Christmas festival in the nation, and is always included on worldwide lists of the best places to celebrate Christmas.
The Theater Project, founded in 1971 by Al Miller, is a non-profit community-based theater and has been providing entertaining performances, programming for members of the community with special needs, and has taught theater to thousands of children from Maine to the Middle East and beyond
The agents and staff of The Maine Real Estate Network voted for their favorite charities. The first place organization is to receive $10,000, the 2nd will receive $5,000, the 3rd will receive $2500 and the 4th and 5th will receive $1,250 each. The votes have been tallied and the checks are being cut and sent out.
First and foremost I am thankful that my kids Ari and Chelsea are happy and healthy, and that my wife has not realized she could do far better than me. I feel so lucky to have Denise by my side. After that comes my amazing group of co-workers at The Maine Real Estate Network and Cumberland County Mortgage along with a super group of real estate professionals and loan officers. I am so fortunate to be part of an awesome family and surround myself with a great group of friends.
The Annual Christmas Parade (the largest in the state) is such an exciting event in Norway and South Paris. Always held on the Saturday immediately after Thanksgiving, this year’s parade will be on November 26th. The theme this year is “The Sounds of Christmas”, so you can just imagine how wonderful and fun this parade will be.
Okay, so maybe I needed a little prodding to get in gear for the 3rd day of much-needed rain on this Fall Saturday morning, but it turned out there was a whole lot going on here in Cumberland Maine.
Some would argue that Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are among the most idyllic coastal towns in Maine, myself included. The Kennebunks offer a complete coastal experience with a wide variety of beautiful places to stay, eat, shop and many activities to keep busy.
Teri Hatcher of Desperate Housewives makes a special appearance at Kennebunk's Pink Tie Party to help raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.
