We live in Maine, It Snows. People still buy homes. Deal with it!

This all came about with the latest press release from Maine Listings, our statewide MLS. The latest stats they released showed a 12% decrease in units sold statewide this February from last February. We were simply floored when the explanation given in the press release quoted an official source stating that the decline was due to 10 straight days of record breaking snow and a leap year last year. Wow!

A Thanksgiving Message From Our Family To Yours

First and foremost I am thankful that my kids Ari and Chelsea are happy and healthy, and that my wife has not realized she could do far better than me. I feel so lucky to have Denise by my side. After that comes my amazing group of co-workers at The Maine Real Estate Network and Cumberland County Mortgage along with a super group of real estate professionals and loan officers. Maine Home Sales Remain Strong, TMREN Continues to Grow

As of the end of May, The Maine Real Estate Network (TMREN) has seen a tremendous 53% increase in total dollar volume for 2016 compared to the same period a year prior. For the five counties in which TMREN operates (Androscoggin, Cumberland, Oxford, Penobscot, and York) the total dollar value of homes sold across the market increased 23%. This means that TMREN is growing at more than double the market average rate.
