Brunswick Culture

Brunswick has a vibrant downtown with restaurants, cafe's and shops. The Brunswick Town Mall, a lovely park, is a focal point for summer concerts and ice skating in the winter.

The Maine State Music Theatre is located on Elm Street in downtown Brunswick. This is a great place to see a performance and you can check out the performance schedule here. The Bowdoin International Music Festival takes place throughout the summer and attracts some of the most talented musicians from across the country.

The Great Impasta on Main Street features authentic Italian cuisine, a cozy atmosphere, and moderate pricing.

Bangkok Garden is great for Thai food and it is moderately priced and located in historic Fort Andross Mill.

Wild Oats Bakery in the Tontine Mall has an amazing selection of soups, sandwiches and baked goods.

Recreation

Because of Brunswick’s great waterfront location, activities like boating, kayaking and fishing are very popular here. There are several golf courses in the area, including Brunswick Golf Club and Mere Creek Golf Club.

Schools & Community

The Brunswick School Department is made up of two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. These schools are generally very well regarded in the region.

St. John’s Catholic School is a private, co-ed school located in Brunswick for students in grades Pre-K through 8.

Bowdoin College is also located in Brunswick. Bowdoin is considered to be one of the best liberal arts colleges in New England.
