South Portland is a beautiful coastal community that was established in 1898 after separating from Cape Elizabeth. Located just south of Portland and about 90 mins from Boston, Massachusetts; South Portland boasts beautiful beaches, peaceful parks and a walking trail that takes you from one end of the city to the other. South Portland offers both public and private schools and is also home to Husson College and the Southern Maine Community College which is part of the University of Maine system. South Portland offers both a diverse population and is also a great shopping destination. The community offers a great mix of small, locally owned businesses and large nationally known chain stores. The Maine Mall, the largest mall in the state, enjoys calling South Portland its home.
The Maine Real Estate Network's office in South Portland is conveniently located behind the Maine Mall in what many people refer to as the West Side of the city. We are close to I-95 and offer plenty of parking for our guests and clients.
As a Realtor with The Maine Real Estate Network, I work as a buyer’s broker working with individuals and families who are looking for homes or investment properties in the Portland and South Portland area. I work closely with my colleague Peter Ingram, an associate broker with The Maine Real Estate Network.
I get tremendous personal pleasure from helping people find their dream properties, and setting them on the course of fulfilling their aspirations for themselves, their families, neighborhoods and communities.
I came to real estate after a 25 year career in the nonprofit sector, working in Maine, nationally and internationally for great foundations and nonprofits, such as Outward Bound, The UN Special Court for Sierra Leone, The Aspen Institute, Maine Community Foundation and others. I am still a consultant for Demont Associates, helping organizations throughout Northern New England prepare for multi-million dollar capital campaigns to fund their future plans.
I chose Maine as a home when I moved here to attend Colby College, and even when I left the state for graduate school at American University and to work other places, Maine -- its natural beauty, authenticity, intact communities, integrity – remained my home.
Real estate is where my interests in people, Maine, revitalization, and communities converge. I am a member of the Greater Portland Board of Realtors, The Portland Rotary Club, and connected too many nonprofit boards in the state.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my partner, two children, mother and friends -- hiking, camping, cooking, watching movies, trying many of the areas fabulous restaurants.
