Business Experience: I was first licensed as a Maine Real Estate Broker in 1968. During much of that time I worked as a broker while working at United Parcel Service. I then went to work full time for the Teamsters Union at Teamsters Local Union #340 at which time I put my license on inactive. Having retired in 2001 I reactivated my license and now work primarily with Union members both active and retired. As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist I am most helpful to those who have retired
Professional Achievement: My most important achievement is having maintained both my reputation as a reliable, honest advocate and a Brokers license for so many years without blemish.
Education & Certification: I am a graduate of the University of Maine and have also earned a Bachelors’ degree from the George Meany Center for Labor Studies. From there I went on to the University of Massachusetts where I received a Master’s degree in Union Leadership and Administration Services. I like to explain that degree as primarily the same as a MBA, only it being the “left” side of that same science.
Community Involvement: My community involvement has been primarily within labor union activities and the representation of working men and women through contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
Info: I have been licensed as a Real Estate Broker for much of the last 40+ years. I have represented working men and women for 50 years. I have been appointed by Governor King and reappointed by Governor Baldacci to serve as an employee representative to the Maine Labor Relations Board. Those experiences and my status as a Senior’s Real Estate Specialist are used to the advantage my real estate clients and customers. |
