The latest stats they released showed a 12% decrease in units sold statewide this February from last February. Wow!

Top 5 Things To Do In Scarborough Maine

My all time favorite is Higgins Beach. I grew up there and worked at the Higgins Beach Inn as a teenager. At Higgins you can visit the rocks and catch snails and crabs and see the occasional starfish. Walk to the other end of the beach and you have the river and the wreck of the Howard W. Middleton. The wreck occurred in 1897 when the coal ship ran ashore in heavy fog.

Carter's Cross Country Ski Center offers more than trails. They have a full retail shop with skis, boots and bindings available for skiers of every size and experience level. Rental options are also available for day use. The lodge at Carter's Cross Country Ski Center is available for room rentals, and there are three remote cabins in the woods that allow for skiers to pack in their gear and enjoy a back-country accommodation.
